Sarah Marchionda Photography specializes in professional photography services. This policy explains how photographic data is collected, stored, shared, and protected in compliance with applicable privacy laws.



Photo Collection & Storage

 

 


All photos are captured directly by Sarah Marchionda using professional camera equipment.


RAW image files are transferred from the camera’s SD card directly to an external hard drive. Files are not uploaded to  cloud services and are not permanently stored on a computer.


Temporary versions of images (e.g. JPEGs for preview or social media export) may occasionally be stored on a local computer for short-term use. These files are stored securely and are cleared regularly as part of a photo management workflow.


Editing is performed using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop, both installed locally. No photos are synced to Adobe’s cloud services, ensuring content remains stored offline throughout the editing process.

 

Sharing, Retention and Deletion

 

 

Final edited images are delivered to clients in a high-resolution JPEG format via Pixieset, a secure online gallery platform.


Galleries are typically available for two weeks, unless otherwise specified. After this period, galleries are deleted from the Pixieset platform. Clients are encouraged to download and back up their files during the availability window.


RAW files are stored on an external hard drive and may be retained for up to six months after the delivery of final images. After this period, files may be permanently deleted to manage storage. Upon written request, all related photos — including both RAW and edited files — will be deleted from storage.

Use of Images for Social Media & Portfolio

Photos will only be shared on social media, websites, or portfolios with prior, explicit permission from the client. In the case of minors, no images will be published without documented parental or guardian consent (e.g., through a signed release or waiver).

Sarah Marchionda Photography is registered in the Netherlands and complies with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Photography services may also be provided in other countries. When operating internationally, all reasonable steps are taken to comply with local privacy and image rights laws.
